ABOUT KEN

Welcome to My ‘About’ Page!

This is typically the place where people are 'supposed' to talk about themselves, their accomplishments, awards and qualifications. I may do just a little bit of that ... although I'd much rather get to know you and hear your story! But you're likely here because you're thinking about buying or selling sometime in the near future and are curious about who I am, my values, and how I might be able to help you achieve your real estate goals.

So let me tell you just a few things ... and the rest we'll catch up on over coffee, whenever you're ready!

My Wife, Rhonda, and I are Life-Long Mid-Michigan Residents ...and We Love it Here!

Raised here in Saginaw, I went to local schools - Handley Elementary, South Intermediate, and Arthur Hill High School, graduating in 1981. After these early years, I obtained my bachelor’s degrees in Computer Science as well as Marketing and Business Administration from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and Northwood University, respectively. I also graduated from Delta College - a great local gem right in our own backyard. My career path has taken me from a local truck driver for Edward’s Men’s Shop right out of high school to the retail world of consumer electronics for the biggest chain in the US to project management in the telecommunications industry to now … the awesome world of real estate!

I love being involved in my community

Besides volunteering as an Ambassador for the Saginaw County Chamber of Commerce as well as volunteering as a director for a local credit union, I am a member of the Leadership Saginaw County class of 2022. Leadership is a 10 month community awareness program designed to familiarize existing and emerging leaders with the advantages and challenges present in Saginaw County. The program provides participants with the opportunity to meet with community leaders to gain insight and deepen their understanding of our community while fostering a network of contacts among participants and presenters.

The picture shown was from our People Helping People day long event where we learned about the CAN Council, Child & Family Services, Children's Grief Center, Emmaus House, Saginaw County Youth Protection Council, Underground Railroad, Saginaw Rescue Ministries, Mustard Seed Shelter, YMCA and United Way of Saginaw County. I had the privilege of helping to inventory and organize donations made to City Rescue Mission.

Boys and Their Toys ...

Isn't she a beauty? It's a 1959 Triumph TR3A. My very first car - ever. I remember I had to figure out how to drive a stick shift because ... well ... I bought one. Talk about throwing one's hat over the fence.
PS: Put some blades under it and I’d have the coolest riding mower. (Don't tell anyone I said that...)

In My Spare Time...

... if I am not playing around with my fun hobby car, you can probably find my wife and me working in our yard and playing around with the gardening and landscaping! We love being outdoors. It brings beauty and joy to us and we hope to those around us as well. Working outside, breathing the fresh air, enjoying nature, watching the pollinators and listening to the birds ... We love watching things grow and seeing the fruits of our labors.
There’s probably a lot more I could write but I’d much rather learn more about you and your goals when it comes to living in our beautiful area.

If you're thinking of buying or selling, feel free to reach out whenever you’re ready.

I am here to listen ... answer your questions and help you make the buying and selling experience as positive and ‘stress-free’ as possible!

Cheers,

Ken and Rhonda
